3 Proven Methods for Wanu Control

1. Crushed Sorghum/Wheat + Rihansh Insecticide

  • Ingredients:

    • 1 kg medium crushed Jowar or Wheat

    • 50 ml Rihansh (रिहान्श) insecticide

  • Method:

    • Mix Rihansh thoroughly into the crushed grain

    • Broadcast the mixture over affected areas

    • Wanu feed on it and die

2. Early Morning Spray with Rage Insecticide

  • Dosage: 15 ml Rage (रेज) per pump

  • Method:

    • Spray in early morning hours

    • Even on dry soil, contact with Rage kills the Wanu

    • Target spraying on visible pests is highly effective

3. Carbofuran + Sand Mixture

  • Ingredients:

    • 10 kg sand

    • 5 kg Carbofuran (कार्बोफ्युरॉन) granules

  • Method:

    • Mix carbofuran evenly with sand

    • Apply across the affected field (1 acre)

    • For light infestation, 2–3 kg of Carbofuran is sufficient
